For your customers
Do my customers need to download an app?
No, and there is nothing to sign up for either. They scan a code, a page opens in whatever browser their phone already has, and that is the whole thing. The stamp card can be saved to Apple Wallet, which every iPhone comes with.
Does it work on Android?
Yes, both. The ticket is a web page, and alerts arrive as notifications even with the page closed. The stamp card sits in Google Wallet on Android and Apple Wallet on an iPhone.
What about someone who has not got a smartphone?
Two ways in that do not need one. A member of staff can add them from the counter screen — same order, same numbering, and it asks whatever your joining form asks. Or, if you run the display by the door on a touchscreen, you can let people tap it and join themselves. Either way there is no phone to send the alerts to, so you call them the way you always did.
Does it cost my customers anything?
No. They never pay, never give a card number, and never make an account.
Do you collect their personal data?
Only what you ask for on the joining form, and only for as long as it is useful. Personal details on finished tickets are stripped automatically after thirty days. Names stay off the public wall display unless you switch them on.
Setting it up
What equipment do I need?
A phone. That is genuinely it. No ticket printer, no card reader, no screen on the wall unless you want one — and if you do, any old tablet or TV with a browser will do.
